Christmas Jazz festival for the 14th time

Jean-Luc Ponty has collaborated with a whole sky full of stars, from symphonie orchestras to such names as Stephanie Grapelli, John McLaughlin Mahavishnu Orchestra,  Al Di Meola, Stanely Clark etc. On the 16th of December Ponty will perform in the new Nokia Concert Hall in Tallinn along with his jazz-rock band. In the end of November band was touring in USA.

Giana Viscardi by Maristela_Martins28-year-old Giana Viscardi is a new star of the bossa nova,  she also loves fado and African rhythms. She brings the warmth of Sao Paolo to the cold and dark December of Estonia.

Christian Prommer is known as a soloist, DJ, skilled remixer and a producer and also from Trüby Trio and several other bands. This time he and his live band will make people dance to the rhythms of latin jazz.

One of the most innovative drummers from New York Ari Hoenig plays with his trio Punk Bop, where also noted Estonian pianist Kristjan Randalu participates. Along with Finnish clarinet player Antti Sarpila Estonian Police Orchestra Bigband celebrates the 100 birthday of Benny Goodman. The beneficiary concert „Help bring life” is a tradition of Christmas Jazz where young stars will perform side-by-side with Estonian Radio Singing Children.

There are many projects in Christmas Jazz program with the best  Estonian vocalists: Ivo Linna, Maian Kärmas, Helin-Mari Arder, Hedvig Hanson and others.
